Our commitment to research and innovation in the Organic Production Crops, allows us to learn and implement more natural control procedures in the conventionally grown crops.

In 1998, Dole was the first agricultural company to have one of its divisions certified to ISO 14001, the internationally recognized environmental standard.

Sustainability is an essential aspect for our operations, therefore Dole has built its sustainability strategy based on four pillars: water management, carbon footprint, soil conservation and packaging.

Eugenio Guerrero

  • Biography

    Eugenio is an Agronomist born and educated in Ecuador. He obtained his degree at Universidad Tecnica de Machala and has been working with Dole since 1989. He is one of the initial team members in the local Peruvian program and has been part of it since 1999. His experience and knowledge about organic banana's production, are a guarantee for producers and consumers of certified organic bananas.

  • Biography

    Quality, quality, and quality. Is what has defined the company products since its foundation. Luis is in charge of assuring the highest level of quality required by Dole; he is also responsible for the supervision and certification processes for organic production, good agricultural and environmental practices and food safety. He knows the organic producers and supports them in their day to day functions and work processes with constant visits to the farms and continuous support for a better product. In his spare time reading and listening to music are part of his hobbies.

Responsible for Organic Fertilisers, Costa Rica

  • Biography

    Is responsible for the organic fertilisers used on our organic pineapple farm in Costa Rica. Good soil means a good harvest. And David is an expert on creating the optimum soil. In his free time he likes fishing and being by the water.

Carlos Santos

Food Safety Expert

  • Biography

    General Manager, Copdeban SAC - Perú

    Carlos is an agronomist born in Ecuador. He obtained his degree in El Zamorano, Honduras. He also attended the University of Cornell obtaining a Master's in Agricultural Economics. He's been a valuable asset for our team since 2002. Carlos was in charge (of) the Organic Banana operations from Ecuador and Peru. Among his hobbies are reading, playing soccer (football), and spending time with his family.
